Prepare accurate photos, a clear introduction and sensible privacy boundaries before posting.
Keep it honest
Post about yourself using your own photos and accurate age, city and interests. Choose a first name and a general area; do not publish a street address or private account details. Avoid claiming to be someone else or using another person's pictures.
Prepare your media
New ads normally require a ten-second live-camera selfie video with your face visible throughout and matching your main photo. This is a photo-consistency check, not a background check or guarantee of identity, safety or intentions. Older giveaway ads may retain their video exception.
Review what is public
New ads display the required phone number automatically. The photos and video on a public ad are visible to visitors. Read your preview with that in mind and do not include sensitive documents or information you would not want strangers to see.
Keep account access separate
Create a free account, confirm the email and use a strong password. Use your account to manage your ads; never give another person your password, email verification link or payment information.
